Never in our lifetimes has our democracy faced such a severe threat. The current administration is executing a plan to take over government institutions, a strategy developed over several years by the far-right organization, The Heritage Foundation. This plan, known as Project 2025, has gained momentum with the election of Donald Trump.

Here is an overview of what the far-right has in store for all Americans—except for the wealthy and well-connected:

Environment

• Rollback of Climate Regulations: Reduced restrictions on fossil fuel production, weakening of the EPA, and withdrawal from international climate agreements.
  Increased Drilling & Mining: Expansion of oil, gas, and coal extraction on federal lands.
  Weakened Conservation Efforts: Less protection for endangered species and national parks.

Health Care

• Repeal of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare): Possible loss of health coverage for millions.

• Defunding of Planned Parenthood: Reduction in reproductive health services.
  Shift to State-Controlled Programs: Potential block grants for Medicaid, leading to cuts in coverage and benefits.

Income Taxes

• Tax Cuts for the Wealthy & Corporations: Continuation or expansion of Trump-era tax cuts.
  Possible Elimination of IRS or Major Overhaul: Reduced ability to enforce tax laws, benefiting high earners.
  Increased Deficit or Cuts to Social Services: Lower revenue may lead to cuts in Social Security, Medicare, and other programs.

Independent Media

• Reduced Press Freedom: Stricter regulations or legal actions against media critical of the administration.
  Defunding Public Broadcasting: Elimination of funding for NPR, PBS, and other public media.
  Expansion of Partisan Media Influence: More support for conservative media, possibly restricting access to alternative viewpoints.
